Many persons in this world are under the impression that they were born in this world with a mission to perform. I don’t know what Mr. Arvind kejriwal thinks about himself in this connection. But when he entered politics many people thought that he has entered politics with a mission. The mission of ending corruption in public life and giving a clean administration to the public so that common man in the country may lead a comfortable life and all his works in government offices may be done efficiently and without offering money to any government official.
Now that the regime of Mr Arvind Kejriwal is over and the public at large may be able to answer this question well. But let us try to examine his chart and future dashas to assess how he and his party is likely to perform in future years. He was born in Siwani village of Bhiwani District(Haryana). His date of birth is 16 August 1968 at 07:30 hrs. His birth chart is given below.
First of all let me show astrologically 
that he is also a simple politician as all others are with all their weaknesses and lowly deeds. All talks of mission in entering politics are only tall talks and deceptions in the guise and pretension of a mission.
Second house is the house of niyama or the house of ethical conduct. Tenth house is the house of our karmas. Malefic influences on these houses/their lords show lack of ethical conduct and low deeds of the person. Now let us examine the chart of Mr Arvind kejriwal in the light of above two principles.
In D-1 second house is in Rahu-Ketu axis. In D-9 second house has Mars and SaturnR is in eighth house. Second lord of D-1 is Mercury and in lagna with two benefics but in papkartari yoga. Mercury is also in MB degree and in pash dreshkon. Similarly second lord of D-9 is a benefic planet but in the 12th house in a inimical sign. Hence there is influence of malefics on the second house/lord of ethical conduct in birth chart and navamsa. BPHS has described the effects of second bhava in Chapter 15.In sloka 13 of this chapter Maharishi Parashara has said that if second lord is conjunct with malefics and if the second house has malefics , such a person is a liar, indulges in backbiting and becomes a patient of vaat roga.
Now let us see the condition of tenth house/tenth lord. In D-1 tenth lord is in lagna with two other benefics but in papkartari yoga. When natural malefics occupy 2nd and 12th house from lagna, papkartari yoga is formed .This yoga creates a restrictive frame around the Lagna, leading to difficulties in health, wealth, and character. Following resuts of this yoga are given in classics ,”The person might have criminal tendencies, ill-health, unwholesome food, excessive sexual urge, intention to grab the wealth of others”.
In D-9 tenth lord is in tenth house but in Rahu-Ketu axis. Condition of tenth house from the tenth house i. e. seventh house also needs to be examined. In D-1 seventh lord retrogrades in ninth house with twelfth lord. It is aspected by Jupiter from lagna. According to classics such person is a minister of the king or his trustworthy ,happy and rich. In D-9 seventh house is occupied by 12th lord Sun but fortunately aspected by Jupiter which is good. Hence there are malefic influences on tenth house/tenth lord also but seventh house is free of afflictions and it is good.
It simply shows that all deeds of Mr. Arvind kejriwal are not good/ethical in nature, although some deeds are. The purpose of writing it is to show astrologically to the readers that he is also a simple politician with all weaknesses and vices as all other politicians. He is not born with a mission.
Greed is seen from the eleventh house. The eleventh and second lord of chart is Mercury. Mercury is not only in MB degree but in pash dreshkon also. Planets in MB degree or in Sarp or Pash Dreshkon should be seen as malefic points of arishta and may give malefic results in respect of their lordships. It is good that eleventh lord Mercury is with two other benefics which has considerably reduced maleficence. But it should be also be remembered that first house in which this Mercury is placed is in papkartari yoga and so are the planets in conjunction with Mercury. It shows that Mercury still has maleficence. Such a Mercury may give peculiar mentality to the person concerned in money matters. It may even entrap a person in money matters especially when the planet in pash dreshkon and is second and eleventh lord. It explains why Arvind Kejriwal is alleged to be involved in money matters.
It should also be seen that Lagna lord of Shri Arvind Kejriwal is not only in 12th house but is sarp dreshkon also with ninth lord Mars who is also in sarp dreshkon. Other points of maleficence in the chart of Shri Arvind Kejriwal will be explained at the appropriate time, but points of maleficence explained so far considerably explain many of his idiosyncrasies and hypocrisies. Many negative personality traits may be there if Lagna/Lagna lord both are afflicted. Arrogance, vain gloriousness and selfishness are also among them.
He did B,Tech in mechanical engineering from IIT Kharagpur from 1985 to 1989.He was running Mars Dasa from 30-03-1983 to 29-03-1990.Mars is particularly connected to mechanical, electrical, and power-related engineering. It explains his study in mechanical engineering. He joined Tata Steel in 1989 perhaps in Mara-Moon dasa from 20-08-1989 to 29-03-1990 and was posted in Jamshedpur(now in Jharkhand).In D-1 Moon is with sixth lord of service cum seventh lord of padprapti. Both are in ninth house of luck. Moreover there is rashi
exchange between Moon and Mars and both are involved in formation of a dhanyoga. In D-10 Moon is sixth lord of service with ninth lord of luck and eleventh lord of income and aspected by 10th lord of profession. Arvind Kejriwal resigned from service in 1992 perhaps in Rahu-Rahu Dasa from 29-03-1990 to 09-12-1992. Rahu-Ketu are in two-eight axis in D-I and three-nine axis in D-1O.These axis are well known for termination/change in job. During 1992-1995 he spent time in kolkata, where he met Mother Teresa and volunteered with the Missionaries of Charity and at the Ramakrishna Mission in North-East India and at Nehru Yuva Kendra.
He passed Civil Services Examination in 1995 and joined the Indian Revenue Services as an Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax perhaps in Rahu-Saturn Dasa (from 05-05-1995 to 11-03-1998.). In D-1 Saturn is seventh lord of padprapti and in D-10 Saturn is the lagna lord. In February 2006 ,he resigned from his position as Joint Commissioner of Income Tax in New Delhi in dasa of Rahu-Moon – Jupiter(16-02-2006 to 30-04-2006).In D-1 Rahu is in eighth house, Moon is twelfth lord and Jupiter is eighth lord. In D-10 Rahu is with twelfth lord SatR whereas Moon and Jupiter are in twelfth house. This indicates the resignation from service.
He established Aam Admi Party on 26th Nov 2012 in dasa of Jupiter -Saturn -Jupiter (27-07-2012 to 27-11-2012) to fight corruption and improve governance. His Aam Admi Party fought elections of Delhi Legislative Assembly in 2013 and got 28 seats. BJP won 31 seats but refused to form government in a hung assembly. Aam Aadmi Party formed government with outside support of eight MLA’s of Indian National Congress, one Janta Dal MLA and one independent MLA. Shri Arvind Kejriwal became the Chief Minister. The elections were held on 04-12-2013 when Kejriwal was having Jupiter-Mercury-Moon from 07-11-2013 to 15-01-2014.Kejriwal had taken oath on 28-12-2013 in same dasa. His first government lasted only 49 days. He resigned on 14 February 2014 after failing to table the Jan Lokpal Bill in Delhi Assembly in Jup-Mer-Mars dasa from 15-01-2014 to 04-03-2014.Mars is in twelfth house in Sarp Dreshkon. Planets in Sarp Dreshkon may indicate greater risk of accidents, especially those involving poisonous reptiles or venomous substances, health hazards and also lack of stability in various aspects of life, including career, marriage, wealth, and health.
Elections of Delhi Legislative Assembly were held on 7th February 2015 when Arvind Kejriwal was running dasa of Jup-Mer-Saturn from 25-10-2014 to 05-03-2015. Aam Admi Party came back in power with a decisive victory. His party won sixty seven seats. He was re-elected in 2020.Elections were held on 08 Feb 2020 when Arvind Kejriwal was running the dasa of Jup-Moon-Jup from 18-12-2019 to 21-02-2020. His party won 62 seats.
Recent elections were held to Delhi Legislative Assembly on 05 February 2025.Arvind Kejriwal was running Saturn -Saturn-Mercury dasa from 19-09-2024 to 21-02-2025.Please the maleficence of PD lord Mercury as already discussed.
Above events show that he won elections in Jupiter Dasa but lost election in SaturnR dasa. Saturn dasa will continue for nineteen years upto 29-03-2043.SaturnR is in a very peculiar position in his chart. SaturnR is debilitated but retrograde. Although there is a rule in astrology that debilitated planets behave like exalted planets when they are retrograde.(sloka 6 chapter II-Uttara Kalamitra), but it is disputed. Shri K N Rao in Jan -Feb 2014 issue of Journal of Astrology has said that to regard a retrograde exalted planet as debilitated or retrograde debilitated planet as exalted appears to be a superstition, a dogma than a truth as revealed in our study of hundreds of horoscopes.
Still debilitation of Saturn is cancelled in many ways. Mars who is dispositor of SaturnR is in kendra position to Moon. Saturn is exalted in Libra whose lord Venus is in Lagna. Sun is exalted in the sign Aries where Saturn is debilitated and Sun is placed in kendra to Moon. Hence Saturn is involved in Neech Bhanga Rajyoga. Neech Bhanga Rajyoga gives more success than normal rajyoga but after great struggle. It makes a person very successful if a debilitated planet’s debilitation is cancelled in many ways. Neechbhanga Rajyogas ,as a rule, have a tendency to attract opposition and problems at every stage which regular rajyogas are generally insulated against.
All above discussion shows that Arvind Kejriwal may again come back to power sometime in SaturnR dasa itself. Antardasas of Venus and Jupiter who are involved in Rajyoga formation seem important in this connection. SaturnR is in Aries sign in as many as eight vargas viz. D-1,D-3,D-4,D-7,D-9,D-10,D-12 and D-30.It also needs consideration. I will discuss about it in my next article.
