Astro-Meteorology is a science of forecasting weather and seasonal climates using the positions & alignments of celestial bodies. It attempts to link planetary configurations and zodiac signs to atmospheric changes on Earth. It tracks planetary aspects, lunar phases, and stellar positions to predict temperature shifts, ,storms, and precipitation.

The Moon in certain nakshatras joining with other planets or aspected by other planets cause or hinder rain . Moon is a watery planet. Other watery planets are Neptune and Pluto. Watery signs are Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. Nakshatras that fall in watery signs are called watery nakshatras. These nakhatras are Punarvasu 4th Pada, Pushya, Ashlesha (Cancer);Vishakha 4th Pada, Anuradha, Jyeshtha(Scorpio);and Purva Bhadrapada 4th Pada, Uttara Bhadrapada& Revati(Pisces).

This is done when Moon through Poorvashadha nakshatra beginning from the first day of the bright fortnight of the Mrigacira month (November-December) .The impregnated clouds will deliver results as and when Moon enters the same nakshatra 195 days later which is any time after June following year.Entry of Moon in Rohini in ashadha krishna pakasha is used for short range prediction.

There are Saturn and Sun in kendras, Lagna is a earthy sign Virgo with watery planet Moon in it .Rains will not be timely this year. Mars a malefic is aspected by another malefic Saturn. It means that in rainy season there will be many dry spells.
There are three benefics in the eleventh house of the Ardra Parvesh Chart. Eleventh and 12th house indicate Orissa, part of West Bengal, part of Andhra, East Coast etc. Jupiter is strongest planet in eleventh house. It indicates North East direction. North Eastern states of India are Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim.
